It has been about a month...

Things have been super busy and I have missed making soap very much. Now that the Holidays are almost over and schedules are getting some what back to normal I think I can once again start experimenting.

The Pink Soap Shea Butter Supreme turned out splendidly. I think it is one of my favorite recipes so far not to mention it turned out very pretty and smells just like a spring garden full of flowers.

I hope to experiment with making Colored Lip Gloss and some new scents this month. I also will be experimenting with facial products and trying to develop a three step system for acne prone skin like mine. I have been trying for a while but it has not come together yet I hope this month to have a little more time to work on it.

And for those patiently waiting I hope to have the liquid soap soon :D

Experiment not so good

So my experiment with soapnuts and old soap to try to create liquid soap didn't turn out well, it turned into a rubbery goo. So on to something else.

I did however have time to experiment with colors over the past few weeks and these beauties are drying right now.

Liquid Soap Experiment

So I have had these soapnuts in my soap closet for a while. I tried them for laundry soap but found I didn't like them so I decided to see how they would work turning them into liquid a long with a messed up batch of cold processed soap. I am still waiting for the results as I allowed it to cook some this morning. I will take some pics and post them so you can see the before and after experiment.

I am not sure there is anything about soap making I dislike except for the wearing of gloves and goggles when getting the lye water ready. I love creating recipes and experimenting with new ingredients, colorants, and scents. Soap making is a beautiful art. I hope you will discover this art for yourself.
